Fleet Management

Managing fleets is done by selecting a fleet at one of the following places:

- The Overview page of a base or astro
- The bottom of the Production page of a base
- By selecting it from any of the Fleet subpages (Fleet / Units/ Ships)

There are a number of options for how you select a fleet. If you tap on the fleet name (on the very left of the line that describes the fleet) it will bring you to the overview where the full range of options available to the fleet is listed on top.
Alternatively when you find a fleet there are a selection of options on the far right of it's line. Generally these include 'Move' 'Attack' and 'Merge', and tapping on any of them will bring you directly to the page where that fleet does whatever is described.

Moving:

The Fleet Move page is very efficient once you understand its mechanics.

It can be accessed by selecting a fleet and then pressing 'move'. In most situations the move page can also be selected directly without doing this (as mentioned before, the move option is displayed on the far right of the fleet's description line),

On accessing a fleet's Move page you will find a selection of options for fast-selecting where to send your ships:
- your bases
- your starbases
- your fleets, your bookmarks, your alliance bookmarks, your occupations, the public space gates, and your alliance space gates.

You can also decide which units, and how many of them, you want to send; if not the whole fleet. If you deploy a fraction of the fleet, it original will become 2 fleets; those moving and those not doing so. The menu allows you to select how many

You can also select to send it using an available space gate or gateship, be careful as gates belonging to players outside your alliance can charge for use if the owner didn't set it to be free to yours or to you.

Below the Deploy fleet button, you can expand 2 boxes: Fleet Details and the Fleet Ships, these allow you to check current speed, damage, etc.

REMEMBER: if you select a fleet for anything and get a message saying "this fleet no longer exists" that doesNOT necessarily mean that fleet has disappeared or has been destroyed. 99% of the time that message appears because the fleet number no longer exists, the ships making up that fleet have just been amalgamated into another
